Scholarship for UPSC aspirants from North East

In an attempt to provide a boost to the UPSC aspirants from Northeast India and to help them prepare for one of the toughest examinations, the Helping Hands Society has stated that Rs.3.2 crore has been earmarked as CSR UPSC scholarship by ALS, one of the top UPSC Coaching Institutes in Delhi.
Final year under graduate students from Northeast India can avail the ALS UPSC SCHOLARSHIP – 2019. Those aspirants who have appeared for their final year graduation examination and who are awaiting their results are also eligible to apply for the scholarship.
They shall be evaluated on the basis of their average Mark’s/ percentage obtained in their 1st and 2nd year results, the average mark’s/percentage may be indicated alongside in their application letter.
However, the admission will be provisional for these candidates until their final year result are submitted within August 2019.
It is liable to be cancelled if the candidate happens to fail in their final year of graduation.
The candidate in the waiting list will then be given preferences

According to Helping Hands, the last date for submission is May 20, 2019 (online submission).

Rs 2.2 Cr. UPSC coaching scholarship for NE’s aspirants
ITANAGAR, Feb 6: NGO Helping Hands and Delhi-based IAS coaching institute, ALS, have sanctioned Rs 2. 2 crore for the year 2018-19 under their corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative for UPSC coaching scholarships for poor and bright graduates of the Northeast region.
This was informed by IPS officer Robin Hibu under whose initiatives the NGO was formed.
The NE graduates in any discipline from recognized universities may submit their applications and details for the UPSC coaching scholarship within 27 February in the email address: helpinghands2016th @gmail.com
Special category graduates need to submit orphan certificates, disabled certificates, martyr certificates of father or mother, and certificates of achievements in national level sports events.
The UPSC coaching aspirants for scholarship will be selected by a team of Helping Hands members on merit, and any aspirant with a police case or facing trial in any court will not be considered for the scholarship.s aspirants
